Most Gracious God,
We pray for your creation and the role your created children play in the well-being of your world. So many countries find themselves embroiled in war, poverty, and despair. Countries that are rich in resources experience citizens struggling simply to survive.
We pray for the Islamic Republic of Iran which has experienced the gamut of struggles and successes. We pray for Iranian men and women of all faiths and for our Presbyterian brothers and sisters living in Iran.
- We pray for the 82 million Iranians who only want peace and have a desire to pursue a relationship with the United States which is reciprocal, fair and just.
- We pray for peace in the Middle East, we pray for peace between Iran and the United States.
- We pray that the United States might return to the Iran Nuclear Deal and utilize the gift of diplomacy and negotiations to end the pursuit of nuclear weapons by those who don’t have them, and the elimination of nuclear weapons by those who have them.
- We pray that our nation might lead the way through example, patience and an unending pursuit of a new way. The ways of the world lead to military intervention, invasion and interference in one another’s affairs. Teach us our God your ways which call for peace between nations and individuals. Teach us to suppress any motives which are not beneficial for the well-being of all.
We pray that as your children redeemed by your grace and love that we might freely share your love with all people everywhere.
